Account Ownership

Last updated June 2025

When you create a Svair account, questions of ownership are usually straightforward. This page addresses the situations where they are not.

Individual accounts

An account created by an individual belongs to that individual. The email address and payment method on file are the definitive record of account ownership. If two people dispute ownership of an account, the person whose email and payment details are on file is the recognised owner.

Organisation accounts

When an organisation pays for a Svair subscription on behalf of its employees or members, the organisation owns the account. This is true even if an individual employee created it. The organisation is responsible for designating an administrator and keeping contact information up to date.

If an employee leaves and was the sole administrator, the organisation should contact support@svair.org to recover access. We will verify ownership through payment records and other identifying information.

Your content

You own everything you create using Svair products. Documents, records, messages, uploaded files — all of it. We do not claim any rights to your content. We store and process it only to deliver the service to you.

In an organisation account, content created by employees is typically owned by the organisation. We do not arbitrate internal disputes about content ownership — those are governed by your own employment agreements and policies.

Transferring account ownership

To transfer an individual account to another person, both parties should contact support@svair.org. We will verify identity, update the account details, and confirm the transfer in writing.

Organisation accounts can be transferred through the same process, with verification from an authorised representative of the organisation.

When a relationship ends

If someone leaves an organisation and had access to a shared account, revoke their access through the team management settings as promptly as possible. We are not able to notify you when credentials may have been shared outside the platform.

If you believe your account has been accessed by a former team member without authorisation, contact security@svair.org immediately.

Disputes

We cannot resolve commercial disputes between organisations and their employees or contractors over account access or content ownership. These are matters for your own legal agreements. We can, however, ensure that account access is correctly reflected in our systems once a rightful owner has been identified.
