Software should respect the person using it.

That's the idea behind every Svair product.

Your work belongs to you

The work you create with software should belong to you.

Your documents. Your records. Your messages. Your files.

They should be portable, exportable and understandable without us.

Some people want to run their own software.

Others would rather let someone else handle updates, backups and servers.

We think both are reasonable.

Choosing hosted software shouldn't mean giving up control.

Source code should be available to the people who depend on it.

We think that's different from publishing every repository to the entire internet.

It doesn't necessarily need to be available to every crawler, scraper, mirror and algorithm.

If you'd like to study, modify, preserve or run one of our products yourself, ask.

We'd be happy to share it.

Every feature asks something of the user.

More settings. More decisions. More things to learn.

We prefer software that does one job well and gets out of the way.

We hope people are still using Svair ten years from now. That's the kind of software we'd like to build.

That changes how we make decisions today.

We'd rather have a conversation than point you to a paragraph buried in fine print.

Software is built by people.

It should be supported by people too.

We hope you use Svair for a long time.

But if one day you decide to leave, your work should leave with you.

We'd rather earn your trust every day than depend on the fact that leaving is difficult.
