Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We have written it to be readable by a person, not a compliance team.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Payment information, processed by our payment provider
• Your IP address and general location, used for security and fraud prevention
• Browser and device type, for diagnosing technical issues

When you use our products, we collect:

• The content you create and store (documents, messages, records, and similar)
• Usage patterns, such as which features you use and when
• Error logs and performance data, used to improve the service

We do not collect data we do not need. We do not purchase data about you from third parties.

Why we collect it

We use your data to:

• Operate and improve our products
• Send you essential communications about your account (receipts, security notices)
• Diagnose and fix technical problems
• Prevent fraud and abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

We send product announcements and updates only to users who have opted in. You can opt out at any time from any such email.

Who has access

Access to customer data inside Svair is restricted to staff who need it to do their jobs — primarily engineering, support, and security. We log access for accountability. We do not allow browsing of customer content for any purpose other than resolving support requests you have initiated.

Third parties

We use a small number of third-party providers to operate our services. These include payment processing, cloud infrastructure, and email delivery. We vet these providers, sign data processing agreements with them where required, and do not give them rights to use your data beyond what is necessary to perform their function.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not share it with any third party except as necessary to operate the service or as required by law.

Cookies

We use cookies to maintain your session (so you stay logged in) and to remember your preferences. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some parts of the product may not function correctly.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as you have an account with us. After cancellation, we keep a limited backup for sixty days before permanent deletion. See our Cancellation Policy for the full timeline.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your data. To exercise any of these, contact us at privacy@svair.org. We will respond within thirty days.

Residents of the European Economic Area have rights under the GDPR. Residents of California have rights under the CCPA. We honour these rights regardless of where you are located.

Children

Our products are not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. The revision date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated.
